Morton Michel celebrates 50th anniversary

Morton Michel, the leading childcare insurance provider in the UK, is celebrating its 50th year in 2014 and lining up a series of events and offers to mark the occasion.

Established by David and Kathy Beere, Croydon-based Morton Michel is now run by their three “children” Nick, Samantha and Jerry Beere. The firm began selling to the fledgling playgroup industry and now provides policies to more than 40,000 childcare providers across the UK.

Samantha said: “We are extremely proud of what we have achieved since my mother and father started working out of their home in 1964 and thankful for the opportunities that the childcare sector has afforded us.

“We have lots of plans to mark the anniversary, including an exclusive celebratory day for childcarers at LEGOLAND Windsor on June 2.” Samantha said.

“Childcarers will be able to take advantage of vastly reduced entry tickets and under 3s are free. We will also be running a competition, throughout 2014, to win 50 prizes on 50 Fridays on our Facebook page. Keep watching our Facebook and Twitter accounts to find out more!”
